Fabrication
Shop fabrication and site erection of steel structures, access platforms, stairs, handrails, machine frames and bases, tanks and conveyors — to client drawings or developed by BTH.
Overview
Fabrication covers non-standard plant structures and equipment items: machine frames and bases, access platforms, stairs, handrails, tanks, supports, conveyors and steel details from drawings. BTH can shop-fabricate for site erection, or combine fabrication with as-found measurement when fit depends on existing geometry.
A typical flow includes drawing and material review, shop-drawing development, cutting/welding/machining, surface preparation and protective coating, pre-dispatch dimensional checks, then site erection and alignment. Weld, tolerance and finish control follow the project dossier and the agreed contract scope.
Fabrication is often tied to equipment installation, piping or building works. BTH coordinates lifting windows, foundation readiness and interfaces with adjacent packages to reduce waiting time and fit-up error. Handover includes material records, inspection notes and as-built drawings for the installed quantities.
